ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Bergman's Fanny And Alexander yet, but I think Persona, also from Bergman, could fit the list, especially regarding Mulholland Drive

DeletePersona and Shadow of the Wolf are amazingly Lyhnchian films and surely had an impact on Lynch's work, too. But yes, Fanny and Alexander features a significant amount of the beginning of the film / mini-series around the Christmas holiday.
